Authentic Georgia turpene filled fatlighter (aka fatwood) cake with a paraffin wax binder to slow the hot burn of the cake. The cakes are wrapped in acid free kraft coffee filters with a kraft sticker as a seal. These cakes are safe for the environment and are an easy safe way to start any fire. Just light the cake and stack wood 2 to 3 inches above the flame. The cakes will burn for up to 20 minutes. These cakes are 1.25 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide at their widest part. After testing other fire starters, we've determined a less compressed model is best. As a result, the cakes are more fragile than most starters but light in just seconds. We wrap them in an acid free coffee filter with an acid free kraft sticker closure to assist with safe transport.
